Hall Monitor Responsibilities

Your responsibility is to ensure that students follow school rules during the school day and to assist teachers when help outside the classroom is required.  The two hall monitors should work together to make certain that the halls are constantly monitored and that assistance to teachers is available when needed.  In addition, Hall Monitor #1 is to assist the Coffee Volunteer in the set up and Hall Monitor #2 is to assist the Pizza Volunteer in the clean up. 

School rules include:

1.     Students may not be in classrooms without a teacher or parent.

2.     Students should not be in the halls without supervision.

3.     Running in the halls, classrooms, or cafeteria is not allowed.

4.     No playing with balls or other toys in the halls or classrooms.

5.     No food, candy, or drinks are permitted in the classroom.

6.     Students should not leave the school building without their parents or adult supervision.

7.     Students should not leave the cafeteria without supervision during lunch time.

Please assist the teachers by:

1.     Escorting students to the restroom or cafeteria when needed.

2.     Monitoring a classroom if needed between classes.

3.     Relaying a message to school administrators when needed.
