Important Reminders for a Successful School Year
Please
review the following guidelines with each staff member and parent volunteer
involved in classroom instruction and coordination of your group
activities.
Start
your day by having all your students meet in the cafeteria, or other central
location, and have your instructors escort their students to the classrooms.
-
The class instructor should
always be the first to enter the classroom and the last to leave the
classroom. Please report to the building service staff, any damage found
in a room when you first arrive. Also immediately report any damage which
occurs while you are using the room.
-
Supervise students at all
times, in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, etc. Please do not allow
students in areas of the buildings your organization has not scheduled for
use.
-
If a teacher needs to leave
the classroom during instruction another adult supervisor (over 21) must be
assigned to the room in her or his absence.
-
Please make note of the
arrangement of furniture in the classroom when you arrive and be sure it is
arranged the same way when you leave.
-
Papers, books and other
Montgomery County Public School classroom materials are not to be used or
moved. Please remind your students that public school students and
teachers work hard on their projects, decorations and assignments.
-
The Montgomery County Public
School teacher’s desk is only to be used by the cultural school instructor.
